EU Settlement Scheme

The Brexit transition period ending on 31 December 2020, ending freedom of movement is recommended All EU/EEA citizens and family members who wish to remain in the UK must be physically present in the UK before 31 December 2020, and apply for Pre-Settled Status or Settled Status under the EU Settlement Scheme by no later than 30 June 2021 is recommended.

It is advised that any application is made by 31 December 2020.

After this date, if you do not hold Pre-settled Status, Settled Status, you will need to leave the country.

If they fail to meet this requirement and wish to return to the UK after the transition period, they will need to apply in accordance with the New UK immigration system from their country of residence or nationality.

This includes all those who currently hold status under the EEA Regulations, such as an EEA residence, or permanent residency card.



Re-named Immigration Categories



Some immigration categories will be renamed and which include the following
